History

1992 - Two psychology graduate students of Ateneo de Manila University, Fatima "Girlie" Garcia and Icar Castro, formed Kythe to provide psychosocial support to pediatric cancer patients.

1994 - Registered with SEC as a Non-Stock, Non-Profit Corporation

1998 - Psychosocial activities for patients was formally named the Child Life Program

1999 - Child Life Program expanded its services to other departments in EAMC

2000 - Allan Cabisaga And Fatima Garcia completed their Child Life Internships in Australia And USA

2001 - Fatima Garcia passed the exam and became one of the first certified Child Life Specialists in the Philippines

2005 - Kythe moved to its new office ,catering to the needs of its 8 affiliate hospitals.
